Trilha

Trail game is a classic board game that has been played for centuries in different parts of the world. Also known as the game of the mill, it combines strategy and tactics, challenging players to plan their moves in advance to gain an advantage over their opponent.

The object of the game is to form "mills", which are lines of three pieces of the same color along the lines of the board. Whenever a player forms a mill, he may remove an opponent's piece from the board, as long as that piece is not part of a mill. The game continues until a player has less than three pieces left or is unable to move.

The game is divided into three phases:

  • Piece placement phase: Players take turns placing their pieces on empty intersection points on the board. The objective in this phase is to strategically place the pieces to create potential mills in the next stage of the game.
  • Piece movement phase: After all pieces have been placed on the board, players start moving their pieces to empty adjacent positions along the lines of the board. The objective is to create or block mills.
  • Flight phase: When a player is down to three pieces, he enters the flight phase. In this phase, pieces can move to any empty spot on the board, not just adjacent positions.

During the piece movement and flight phases, whenever a player forms a mill, he may remove an opponent's piece, as long as that piece is not part of a mill. The opposing player can only remove pieces that are not in mills until all of the opponent's pieces are part of mills, at which point any piece can be removed.

The game continues until a player has less than three pieces left or is unable to move. The player who can no longer make moves loses the game.
